Our Transylvanian connection was made in 1892 when a Unitarian Bishop, Joseph Ferencz, announced that "the Miss Sharpes would like to receive a Hungarian Unitarian girl on a scholarship". Since then the relationship has continued to develop and strengthen. Last week we had the pleasure of hosting two teachers from János Zsigmond Unitarian College. With this in mind we would like to share this lovely picture of a former Transylvanian scholar, Gyöngyi Anghi, who studied at Channing from 1948-49.
