Alumnae News |
The fourth alumna we are delighted to introduce as part of our Step into STEM series is Isabel Gibson, Class of 2009, Co-Founder of ISO.health.
At school, Isabel loved understanding how our bodies work – and this continued through university where she studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge. After university, she wanted to help people understand science and started at healthcare PR firm, Galliard. After two years she moved into medical education helping doctors understand how drugs work at a company called Nyxeon. Here she met two inspirational individuals and together they set up ISO.health.
ISO.health pushed the boundaries of how science is communicated to healthcare professionals and grew from the three of them to a team of 40 in four years. Next, Isabel decided to try something different (what is a career for if you don’t explore and switch it up?!) and moved to AstraZeneca where she has spent two years bringing new breast cancer drugs to patients… and has just moved to a new role.
“My message to all of you – follow your passion, don’t be afraid to take risks, and give anything 9 months to work out if you love it!”
