The Alumnae Office came across a post by Cocoa on LinkedIn posted earlier this year and were completely stunned by its tenacity, boldness and unique spin on 'putting oneself out there' in a job market saturated with written CVs.

I just dropped out of uni .

And I am so excited to see what's in store for me in this new chapter of my life.

If you haven't already seen my updated LinkedIn profile, I am currently on the lookout for entry level jobs in Film & TV Production, Animation, and VFX... but let's take it back to the start ?

After studying Mechanical Engineering for 2 years, ultimately, I decided it just wasn't the degree for me. In fact, I decided university as a whole just wasn't really for me.

I am a creative person, and I felt that studying with the constraints of university academically and socially just wasn't the right environment for me to express myself how I wanted.

Which is why I believe that dropping out is the best choice I could have possibly made. With the skills that I learnt over the 2 years I spent at The University of Edinburgh, I can definitively say that none of my time has gone to waste, but it's time to move onto bigger and better things! ??'?

So here's what I know: I love art ? I love films ? I love animating??'? And quite honestly I love anything and everything that goes into the process of filmmaking, whether that's a technical role, a creative role, or even an assisting role. All in all, I am incredibly keen to learn and will work to the best of my ability in any opportunity that arises.

My CV is below (yes, it's a video). If you have or know of any opportunities that may be helpful to me, please don't hesitate to contact me - every little helps!

We have had the pleasure of working with Cocoa, who created the animation to promote Character Education in the Junior School and we couldn't be happier with the result!
