Step into STEM - Alumna, Siu-Yun Ko

As part of our initiative to inspire more girls to study STEM subjects we asked some of our alumnae to feature on boards that are displayed around the school. That being said we would like to introduce Siu-Yun Ko, Class of 2002, who is a Technology Consulting Senior Manager.

Siu-Yun Ko studied IT GCSE at Channing and followed her interest in technology to pursue a Computer Science and IT BSc degree at University of Surrey. After 3 years of study and a year in industry at a software company in an IT Support role, she graduated in 2006 and left the UK to study Mandarin in Shanghai, China.

Upon returning to the UK in 2008 Siu-Yun joined Accenture, a technology consulting company, as a graduate. She held various roles at Accenture: testing client applications, conducting business analysis work as well as project management and leading global teams. Having worked in London, Hong Kong, and Paris she is now based in New York where she is continuously learning and growing her technology knowledge and leadership skills to remain relevant in industry.

Watch this space to learn more about the other alumnae who took part.
